This garden seat features quite strongly in my memories of our garden growing up.  I have a vague feeling it was weathered and old and in disrepair when we moved in in 1977 but when I got older I cleaned it up and brought it back to life with stain and oils.  We also had these huge giant poppies growing there.  Mum warned us not to get too close and inhale!!  This is just as I remember our garden to be.

One beautiful summers day (not too many of those in England) I sat outside with pastels and pad and drew this.  Why not?
